“I don’t have a vote – for now.”
That’s what I told a lobbyist who came to see me about my one of my bills.
After you introduce legislation, it’s assigned to a committee. Your bill is now in the possession of that committee – literally and legislatively.
If an amendment to your bill is being considered, you can express your opinion, but the committee decides.
When the proposed change is controversial, not having a vote can be a blessing in disguise.

The Sun article about my bagel brain has been posted on the website of the Maryland Nazi Party.
It’s springtime for gun control, as Mel Brooks would say.

Even bothering to give the so called "Maryland Nazi Party" a mention further confirms your dubious intentions. I did a Google search for said 'party' and it's nothing more than a laughable blogspot by one person.
ReplyDeleteSo I guess everyone who is opposed to gun control is a Maryland Nazi Party sympathizer, eh? Why else would you link the two?
Hitler used gun control to disarm thousands of Jews, making them unable to resist the Nazi occupation.
ReplyDeleteThe Torah says in Exodus 22:1; "If, while breaking in, the thief is discovered, and he is struck and dies, [it is as if] he has no blood."
Also:
"You shall not stand by [the shedding of] your fellow's blood. I am the Lord (Leviticus 19:16)"
And the Talmud also warns us that a broken wall attracts thieves. Advocating more gun control simply opens our wall to thieves, who know we are unarmed.
I suggest you do some fact checking before calling people Nazis.
The Nazi's actually did what you are proposing doing.
